Node is a project by Node Center Curatorial Studies Online (hereinafter referred to as “Provider”).
Please find further details about the Provider in the imprint section. This Agreement regulates your
use of nodecenter.net (hereinafter referred to as “Website”) and of the services offered via the
Website. Unless otherwise specified, the use of the Website is free of charge. Services offered
against payment of a fee are clearly marked as such.
By using or accessing the Website in any way, registering to the Website, adding your own content to
the Website or purchasing services via the Website, you are accepting the terms and conditions of this
Agreement. Derogating or different conditions shall not apply unless agreed to in writing.

Node is an e-learning program for curators and art professionals. On the Website Users can take advantage of a content, information and social and networking features for free. The subscription to online courses is subject to a one-off fee.
Unless otherwise specified, no registration is necessary in order to access the Website and its content. Users must, however, register on the Website for free creating a User account if they want to be listed in the Node – community and if they want to purchase any of the services offered against payment of a fee. When registering, Users commit to provide complete and truthful information and to create only one account per natural person. After registration, Users will receive an automatic confirmation by email.
Registered Users may select the e-learning course from Node’s offer and confirm their selection by clicking on “enrol”. The selection is displayed in the cart section of their User account, that they can always access from the cart symbol at the top right corner of the Website. To proceed to checkout, Users must follow the instructions provided on the Website, providing their billing or invoicing details and choosing a payment method. Before confirming their purchase, Users have the possibility to review their selection and to correct possible errors. In order to confirm, Users must click on “pay now”, thereby accepting this Agreement and any possibly applicable additional conditions.
Courses are delivered via the Website in the days and at the times displayed in each course’s
dedicated page. Prices include German VAT tax. An on-demand access to past courses or lectures is not
available.
Unless otherwise specified, course fees must be fully paid before the course starts. Enrolment may be
subject to deadlines, attendance limitations or further conditions. The Provider expressly reserves
the right to exclude Users whenever such conditions or any conditions of this Agreement are not met.
In order to attend to online lectures, Users must adopt common and updated technologies, such as a
common and up-to-date internet browser or video plugins. Specific technical requirements for each
course are displayed in the relevant product page.
During the lectures and unless otherwise specified, Users may interact via microphone, camera and chat
with the lecturer and/or other attendees, thereby accepting that any personal data they voluntarily
disclose or transfer is being made available to lecturers and other attendees. Please see Node’s
privacy statement to find out further details. The described interaction via microphone, camera and
chat is always the User’s free and optional choice and never a required for attending classes or
courses.
Some of the courses available on the Website allow Users to obtain university credits recognised by various institutions of higher education worldwide subject to each such institution’s policies and to additional conditions. Users may find further information about credits in the relevant section of the Website and inquiring with the Provider via email at courses@nodecenter.org.
This section only applies if you qualify as a consumer. Consumers are natural persons who, when closing contracts regulated by this Agreement, are acting for purposes which are outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
You have the right to withdraw from this contract without stating reasons within fourteen days from
the date of conclusion of the contract.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us Node Curatorial Studies Online, Wrangelstr. 5, 10997 Berlin; info@nodecenter.org by means of a clear declaration (e.g. an e-mail) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You can use the attached standard withdrawal form, but this is not mandatory. In order to comply with the withdrawal period, it is sufficient that you send the notice before the expiry of the 14-days withdrawal period.
If you withdraw from this contract, we will refund all payments we have received from you immediately and no later than 14 days of the day we receive your withdrawal notice by using the same means of payment you chose for the original transaction to credit the sum, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you. In no event will you be charged any fees for processing this refund. If you have requested that the performance of the contract be commenced during the cancellation period, you shall pay us an adequate compensation for the service already provided by the time you notify us of the exercise of the right of withdrawal, calculated as proportional amount of the total due for the full services originally purchased. Such compensation shall be deducted from your refund.
In case of contracts closed for the provision of services, the right of withdrawal is excluded if we
have fully provided the service and the provision has begun with your consent after you have
acknowledged that that you will lose your right of withdrawal as soon as the contract has been fully
performed.
The right of withdrawal is excluded in the case of the supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium, if the performance has begun with the consumer’s prior express consent and his acknowledgment that he thereby loses his right of withdrawal.

Users of Node must be 18 years of age or older, in any case adults pursuant to the legislation of the place where they have their domicile. The Website may be used only for the purposes it is intended for, as described in the foregoing sections. In particular, but without limitation, Users may not:
In case of suspect that any forbidden use in the above-mentioned meaning is taking place, the Provider may, at its own discretion, suspend or delete User accounts without prior notice and reserves the right to claim damages resulting from such forbidden use to full extent.
